GoGreenStayGreen

Hey all,
I am trying to get a new business idea out there that has to do with big corporations or retailers recycling unwanted plastics as in plastic shopping bags, shipping plastic, and bottles. We are also into recycling or reusing carboard, glass, and papers of any kind. Our goal is to help reduce some of the overused landfills and reduce traffic going in and out. By calling our company, GoGreenStayGreen, i do believe that the amount of polution and everlasting materials will greatly help out the environment that we all live in because it takes such little effort to use our services and you know that it will greatly influence future generations in great strides. Not only will you save money by giving us a call but you will pull in other people with money to spend at your store because they believe in the same morals you do and want to help reduce waist around the world. Tale a step, even if you have the smallest amount of doubt in your mind, and do whats right. Our family run business ponly believes in one kind of green and thats the environment. God given gift.

Affects of Television

Television is of the things in the world that is shared by almost every human being and has become a daily part of life.  When it comes down to it, watching television is just another way to take a deep breath after a hard day’s work, or a hectic day, and just relax.  While watching television, you can eat a sandwich, drink a soda, sit in the family room with your family and friends, or be all alone.

One problem, though, is that you are just sitting…there is often no communication with anyone, verbally or physically.  Eyes are usually pinned to the television and arms are usually resting on the arms of the sofa.    When someone walks into the room and tries to spark a conversation, people are so fixated on what is on television that they don’t even hear what is being said to them.  Watching television not only

takes away the opportunity of the watcher to verbally express himself about how their day went or what is on their mind it also hurts the person trying to spark the conversation because they are being ignored.

The average person spends 4 to 5 hours a day watching television.  People who think that television does not influence them and their personal lives might be surprised to find out how much it does.  People who watch reality television shows may begin to think that people’s lives are really like those depicted on television.  Television gives a false impression of what is normal in society and people watching may try to incorporate what they see on television into their own lives.  This begins to change who they truly are as a person and their morals may get flipped upside down.  If someone becomes famous for something as simple as having their daily lives in the sticks televised, people watching their show may begin to do outrageous things in their own lives to try to gain fame and notoriety.

It is not just the time people waste watching television that is a problem, it is the way that television programs have changed for the worst in the last twenty years.  Some popular channels, such as Comedy Central, seem to be oblivious to the way that their programs portray society and negatively influence people, especially children.  These programs use vulgar language, violence, and nudity during all hours of the day.  Some of the most popular shows, such as The Jersey Shore and The Perfect Fit cover parts of society that would have never been televised in the past. The Jersey Shore focuses on partying, drinking, sex, and drugs. The Perfect Fit focuses on the way bras fit certain women.  Do we really need television shows on these topics?  It is extremely hard for today’s parents to monitor what their children are watching to keep them on the right track because of the number of these types of shows and how often they are broadcast.   I firmly believe that these big television corporations need to step up and take responsibility for the damaging effects that their shows are having on society and people of all ages.

WorldWideRavee

In the book, World Wide Rave, written by David Meerman Scott, great knowledge of how to get involved with advertising and notifying people of what your interested in, your beliefs, or what your futuristic goals are. Its about letting people see your feelings from Boston to New York to California to Asia to Africa. Its about sharing your boldest ideas and your greatest recordings and getting people to view and like what your are saying and/or showing. Its about attracting the attention of groups of people that have no knowledge of what your trying to get accross until they read it and that idea continues to get spread from computer to computer, mouth to mouth.
This book really breaks down the way to go about sharing information whether its business, personal, or technical information and letting people, friends or not, see the true colors that each individual involved wants to show. If followers are built up on certain sites like Twitter, you want to be able to keep them there, so you continue to write what you think will continue to bring them back day after day, blog after blog, video after video. By being able to get one known follower or viewew of your information that is known by many others, that alone will help spread the points your trying to get accross and will help create a fan base. Its really one small saying, or fact, or follower that can trigger a world wide rave for yourself and the people that you may or may not be involved with. Its amazing to see what social media can do to a product that you are trying to sell, a video that you are trying to have seen, or a fact that you are trying to have proven, and the cool thing being is that its you, not somebody else, but you. Anybody can be involved with a world wide rave its just a matter of getting online and taking it one step, one person at a time, and letting the world see the valid, intriguing, and emotional things that you have to offer. Its the insight that one cant find just by surfing google or other search sites, its the personal feelings and emotions and beliefs that people have over certain things, products, or problems going on in this world or even a world thats imaginary. Just find your fan base, create new followers, and keep the followers coming back by putting information up that going to keep the reader reading.
Its a matter of these online fans wanting to be there not having to be. Its a matter of them spending their own time on your website, blog, or twitter, because you have thrown out the line and one by one you continue to pull them into the boat. This all being because your information is no better or worse than the person before but its different, its unique, it leaves the reader/followers wanting more and wondering where your rave is going to take them next. This book was a great read and i would recomend it to anyone that is looking to expand themselves or their products online and is just trying to figure out what steps to take in order to achieve certain goals.

Candle Light Vigil

What a day I imagined and felt it was going to be the second my alarm went off and I laid and bed cloudy headed. As I rubbed my eyes and continuously told myself that it was later in the day than it actually was I finally got up out of my warm bed. My feet hit the cold, hard, tiled floor and although I was shivering I walked over to the blinds to open them up. It was snowing outside. The roads and my front yard were a white winter wonder land and it was ordinary day weather wise in New England. Something that most people around the world would not be adapted to; it comes first hand to me. I put the coffee on and hopped in the shower after picking out my work outfit for the day ahead.
The coffee was hot and after a little cream and sugar was made to perfection. Knowing in my heart and mind that I was going to have a productive day I got dressed and waited for my ride at the front door to bring me to work. Sadly my ride didn’t come so I called the cab. Because it was a last minute call I was stuck with a cabbie that already had one drop off before me and I got in the back and the three of us talked. Talked about everyday issues, family issues and throughout our discussion I realized the similarities that I had with this nice older lady that reminded me of my grandmother. She made me feel so comfortable in my own skin I felt like I could just be my real self around her.

Conversation continued and a joke was told. We laughed a laugh that was so genuine it made me feel like I couldn’t stop. Her laugh and smile was making me laugh and smile. Those white teeth, that smile would light up a room, I thought. Then she gasped, gasped for air and clenched her chest. In panic she grabbed my shoulder and by the time I realized what was happened it wasn’t soon enough. I yelled for the cabbie to pull over and did all I could to revive her but my help was not enough. It was like my whole world came down. I blamed myself and only myself. I didn’t even know this lady but it hit me so hard it pierced my heart.

After fire and medical came I went home for the day and after soaking in my own sorrow. I went down to the town park and attended a vigil with what seemed to be everyone I had ever known. The candles were so bright, they lit up the whole night sky and I knew she was looking down in peace. I said my condolences and prayed. I knew that she was in a better place, a much better place.
